A Short Introduction..

If your reading this on your PDA while being lost in the desert at night with a 7 foot rhino suit then congratulations, your Google search has succeeded and, based on my experience, I am in the fortunate position to help you! Although if you are in such a predicament maybe a better use of your time would be to navigate to a local government website and alert them of the problem.

So here it is, a catalogue of experiences I have been fortunate enough to acquire while at the same time meeting many fantastic people. Running some of the most inhospitable places in the world does have its challenges, the highs and lows are relentless, the value gained is immeasurable. The challenge itself has taught me many things, the importance of preparation (feet, equipment etc), of planning (water supply, food), of strategy (when to run and when to walk) and the importance of teamwork.

For those of you who are contemplating your first 150 mile Ultramarathon I guarantee it will be an experience of a lifetime. If nothing else, the sunsets are amazing!
